updates
when you're happy, you don't need to write very much.
new things:
Russell and Eli moved out, Claire and Shay moved in.
The perfect girl wandered into my life and is moving in too. Even my Nana adores her.
I'm working in research again, on my own terms this time.
I'm being paid to learn how to stab people with needles, and I'm pretty good at it.
Connor's going blind, but he doesn't mind.
The bike went back to her previous daddy. Soon there will be midget motorcycles to take her place.
Q is enjoying a well-deserved retirement, and may be in the market for a new home.
Mrs. Pigglewiggle is undergoing resurrection.
I've developed a 5 page questionnaire for the potential baby-daddy...
Welding -- not so much.
The anniversary of Chris' encounter with gravity passed uneventfully, though I still haven't been to Provo Canyon.
It's raining.
I'm planting a vegetable garden and installing a white picket fence.

meta l works
so Ore is going to part-time, and the commissions are coming in for custom furniture.
now, I just have to figure out if I'm building said furniture in a garage or someone else's metal shop.
also, I'm doing some more tutoring. that feels good.

things I have now that I did not have when I last posted
- a somewhat liveable budget which, if followed, will have me out of debt in 14 months
- two beautiful and charming service-oriented folks in my life
- fabulous new friends who play music in my living room until the wee hours
- hickeys
- folded laundry
- a clean car
- grocery money
- a little card for my wallet which identifies me as a graduate of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's basic Rider Course
- a shiny new radiator hose
- clean sheets on my bed
- a modicum of self-respect
- the awesome courtney robbins album "Red Sky in Morning"
- leftovers
... I'm sure there are some others.

hot august night
and the leaves hanging dowm,
and the grass on the ground
smelling sweet...
really, dude, where is brother love's travelling salvation show when you need it?
so, updates: the welding is good. The lifestyle shit is getting more incarnate. The ability to fall in love seems to have disappeared. I'm not a fan of this whole grief-and-loss thing.
Also, I really don't like it when people steal my shit and demand money for its return. It fucks up my whole budgeting process.
The motorcycle class starts on wednesday. I turn 30 on tuesday.
I'm glad I get to go back to work tomorrow.
